TOSE was created because families deserve to feel understood, supported and never alone.

When my son was diagnosed with autism, I was handed a leaflet and left to figure it all out on my own. I felt overwhelmed, lonely and isolated.
I struggled to find people from my Zimbabwean and African background who truly understood the cultural side of the SEND journey.
Then I met another Zimbabwean parent raising an autistic son. Our friendship sparked an idea.
That idea became TOSE SEND Support — a community for families who want to feel understood, supported and never alone.
While TOSE has roots in the experiences of Zimbabwean and African families, our community is open to all parents, carers and supporters.
Your experience matters. You should not have to explain why the SEND journey can be difficult.
Finding other parents can reduce isolation and create a sense of belonging.
Knowledge, confidence and support can help families take their next step.
